Let us start out by defining what ‘Responsive Design’ really is.

Responsive Design got it’s name from the ability to have a website respond to the size of the browser being used and delivers a website version for that size. The version of the website that is displayed is based off the whatever screen size is being used such as a smart phone, tablet, laptop or other device. There is no longer a one size fits all option when it comes to the web since the number of devices available are growing constantly.

Is this a new technology?
